This is a game to start a more general discussion about world energy resources and the potential conflict concerning their allocation: Based either on a real conflict (such as oil fields in Sakhalin or the pipeline through the Baltic Sea, Coltan mining in the DR Congo) or on a fictitious scenario, the game takes issue with the conflicts surrounding the exploration and allocation of scarce energy resources. Who benefits from the exploration? How can it be ensured that the local population gets its fair share? The actors involved include international oil companies, local and national administrations, global environmental organisations etc.
