Experts from all over the world discuss a road map for Social Protection Floors

Moderation of an international expert conference in Berlin

An experts conference on the topic of Social Protection Floors featuring participants from all over the world – it’s not like we are dealing with this topic on a daily basis, but our task here was mainly the methodological conception and moderation of the conference. This involved plenary phases with input from experts as well as the development of a road map in groups.

During extensive preparation talks with members of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES), we defined content and objectives of the conference and made a plan for organisational and logistic aspects such as simultaneous translation and the choice of experts. Based on these results, planpolitik designed a programme that involved classic plenary discussions and input from experts as well as longer group phases and opportunities for socialising and networking. The results from group work were collected and those responsible for continuing the work were identified. Similar commissions from the international departments of FES included international and German-language experts conferences on topics such as gender-sensitive labour markets, municipal social policy as well as an international conference on Global Care Chains.

  • Our cooperation with planpolitik is of great value for the success of our workshops with international experts. Both, in the conceptual work before as well as in the moderation of the workshops, the colleagues of planpolitik show a high degree of professionalism and competence - while always being engaging, goal-oriented and friendly.
